Books for Our Little One – part 2

On Monday morning I started the LeapPad for our Little One, but the chosen card didn’t keep his attention for long. I tried the other card and he showed more interest. However, it was the book that captured his attention. We tried it in the first Music&Soundscapes mode. He liked the page with a fire engine on it and the page with a washing machine. Later he added the page with toothbrushes to his favourite too.

After playing with the book and getting the hang of it, he started playing with the cards. Now it’s difficult to say what he likes the best. Books for Our Little One – part 1

Our shopping habits have changed a lot since the birth of our first child. Now we’re shopping mostly online and I’m spending time browsing through catalogues. Online shopping is really a godsend since it saves our time and we don’t carry heavy bags. Unfortunately, some things are not available online or we need something sooner than it could be delivered. Also, sometimes buying things online is more like buying a pig in a poke. I would like to see a real item and decide if I like it. So we still go in town to shop, but this activity is very limited in time.

A few weeks ago we needed to get a couple wedding cards, so when we were in town, we went to Smiths. Strangely enough there weren’t many people, so I decided to have a look around while my husband was choosing cards. Phone!

It seems that LO has caught my love of high tech gadgets, especially phones. Now we’ve got to hide everything. However, he is very good in finding or spotting things. He’s able to remember where we’ve hidden a phone, so later he might get a chance to get hold of it.

It’s often impossible to talk on the phone if he’s nearby. First, he asks us to give it to him. (He looks so sweet making the sign “phone”.) Then, it’s time for a tantrum. Read the rest of this entry »
