Books for Our Little One – part 2

On Monday morning I started the LeapPad for our Little One, but the chosen card didn’t keep his attention for long. I tried the other card and he showed more interest. However, it was the book that captured his attention. We tried it in the first Music&Soundscapes mode. He liked the page with a fire engine on it and the page with a washing machine. Later he added the page with toothbrushes to his favourite too.

After playing with the book and getting the hang of it, he started playing with the cards. Now it’s difficult to say what he likes the best. Since the LeapPad has become his favourite toy, it was time to get a few more books for it. We’ve got a book about baby animals, a book about baby’s first words and a classical children story. The latter seems to be for a bit older children. It’s not so interesting in either the Music&Soundscapes mode nor the Word Play mode. However, our Little One isn’t old enough to enjoy the story mode. Maybe in a few months the book “Guess How Much I Love You” might become his favourite.

The other two books are quite interesting, but not as much as the book “One Bear in the Bedroom” that came with the LeapPad. Our Little One looks through them every now and then. Also, he likes the activity card that came with the book “Baby’s First Words”, especially the side with an animal song, although he seems to enjoy listening to the phrase “Let’s sing a song ” more than to the whole song.
