All that baby stuff – part 1

There are so many things on the market for babies and almost each of them claims to be a must, so sometimes it is difficult not to end up buying a few items you actually could get away without. I’ve found it interesting to read what items other parents found out to be useless and why. However, sometimes parents’ preferences might puzzle me.

Nappies:What choice is the best? (part 1)

Are disposable nappies a real godsend? Are reusable nappies a real nightmare? My friend would swear blind that there is nothing better than the former and I could understand her. She and her husband spent hours cleaning and boiling terry nappies and their firstborn’s clothes after regular accidents. Also, their flat became humid and it took ages for nappies to dry. Phone!

It seems that LO has caught my love of high tech gadgets, especially phones. Now we’ve got to hide everything. However, he is very good in finding or spotting things. He’s able to remember where we’ve hidden a phone, so later he might get a chance to get hold of it.

It’s often impossible to talk on the phone if he’s nearby. First, he asks us to give it to him. (He looks so sweet making the sign “phone”.) Then, it’s time for a tantrum. Read the rest of this entry »
